Driving success at scale
Studies reveal that only 20% of startups survive beyond five years, and a mere 8% make it past ten years.
For entrepreneurs with disabilities, the challenges are even more daunting.
EnAble India is dedicated to overcoming these barriers by supporting and empowering entrepreneurs in the disability sector.
Anuprayas
Anuprayaas is dedicated to creating an inclusive India by making public infrastructure accessible for people with disabilities. Their accessibility solutions ensure that individuals can commute easily and independently.
EnAble India, in partnership with Anuprayaas Solutions, launched the “Accessible Railway Stations and Divyangjan HelpDesk” project to enhance accessibility for people with visual disabilities. Over the course of 3 years, the project has introduced numerous accessibility solutions across railway stations in states such as Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Odisha, and Maharashtra, each chosen for their high prevalence of visually impaired individuals and strategic importance.
Key installations under this initiative include Braille signs, maps, railing indicators for navigation, Braille booklets, yellow-painted stairs, portable ramps and wheelchairs for easy boarding.
The initiative has also set up DivyangJan Sahayak Desks at stations, offering comprehensive assistance to travellers with disabilities. Services include information dissemination, boarding support, and access to necessary facilities. Operating 18 hours daily and free of charge, the E-Sahayak Desks have served 2,820 beneficiaries as of May 31, 2024.
