Impact Story

Anand’s journey exemplifies the transformative impact of Hamari Vaani, an IVR platform for people with disabilities. After losing his sight at age 5 due to chickenpox complications, Anand’s dedication to community welfare has been unwavering. He works at Prakash Anodizing Works in Morbi, Gujarat, earning 7,000 per month with essential amenities provided.

Introduced to Hamari Vaani in July 2021, Anand quickly saw its potential to empower those with vision disabilities. On May 2, 2022, he recorded an audio message on the platform about 25 job vacancies in Morbi, from packing statues to watch factory roles. His initiative received a tremendous response, with individuals from across India applying.

Anand’s efforts helped fill all 25 positions, offering employment, food, and accommodation to unmarried individuals with vision disabilities, now earning around 8,000 per month. Anand remains dedicated to Hamari Vaani, enjoying segments that foster community and personal growth.
