Allegis & EnAble India, a 5 A opportunity pathway story
In 2013 a small group of Allegis leaders walked through the doors of EnAble India with one simple goal. CEO Pravin Tatvarti said, “We are in the business of opening up opportunities, so how can we do the same for people with disabilities? How can we use our global reach to create an opportunity where the world sees value in disability inclusion?”
That was the spark that launched a shared mission with EnAble India. The Opportunity Pathway model built a momentum for Allegis to move from volunteering to hiring and to ecosystem building one step at a time. This approach has become a blueprint for inclusive hiring at scale and was also presented as a case study at Harvard.
Allegis’ 5A pathway journey included immersive & inclusive learning experiences (such as blind treks, ISL workshops etc.), Train-and-Hire programs, inclusive interviews, training of 1000+ leaders and so much more. This reshaped the mindsets of teams and supported the careers of PwDs. Disability inclusion is now a part of Allegis’ policy, metric, and practice.
